Special A Fanfiction: Part 3

"Have a seat, I'll bring tea," Akira offered. Tadashi heard this and added, "Oh and bring in some more fairy cakes!" earning him another kettle to the head. Everyone laughed at them as Akira dragged him by his tie towards the kitchen to help out.
"I wonder where's Ryuu," Jun asked while scanning around the greenhouse. Megumi held out her sketchpad, "He isn't back yet?".  He wandered off towards the tree's where the sloth usually hangs out as Akira was making her way back with her trolley of tea and cakes. Tadashi was behind her, stuffing his mouth to the max. "So Ayano, where did you study before you came here?" Akira asked, handing her a cup of Earl Grey.
"I studied in one of the elite schools in Paris," she replied, inhaling the scent of the tea.
"Ah, Paris~ I miss Paris," Akira pouted. "Hikari! We have to go there one day together!".
"I'm ok with it if everyone is coming too. It'll be fun!" Hikari clapped her hands excitedly.

It wasn't hard to spot Ryuu. He was still hanging on one of the branches but still out of everybody's sight. Jun walked towards him, "There you are. What are you doing up there?".
"Ah, nothing", Ryuu replied, startled by him. "You're back".
"Yes, our new classmate Ayano-san is a really nice person. You should come meet her," Jun smiled up at him innocently.
"Oh, maybe later," Ryuu jumped down from the tree. "Eh? Are you still busy?" Jun asked.
"Not really but -- "
"Then it's ok right? C'mon, you'll like her. Megumi likes her too," Jun took his hands and pulled.
"Ah wait Jun!"

Ayano was sipping her tea when she heard noises from behind the tree. She divert her attention to the the tall frame appearing from the tree's, her eyes trailed up towards his face and she froze. The teacup she was holding slipped from her frozen fingers and crashed onto the floor.
Ryuu was fighting back Jun's grip on his arms when he heard a crash. He turned towards the source of the sound and his eyes met Ayano's intense grey eyes staring shell shocked at him. His own heart skipped furiously, her emotions unreadable. All eyes are on them now.
The long pause between them ensued while everyone around them watched them with concern. Clearing his dry throat to hide his nervousness, he smiled gently at her. His soft eyes held hers in a connection that was thought long lost years ago.
"Long time no see, Aya-chan".

JoKwon I'm Da One album review

It's very surprising. I was expecting a very funny concept from this album cuz of the I'm Da One Mv but no, the other songs are pretty normal as in no funny business. I did find "Wingardium leviosa" quite an odd name for a song but well, whatever floats his boat.
Some of the songs are very techno like pitbulls/florida(except for the rap part) or The wanted. The quality of the songs does come to me as a huge surprise. Not only does is sound unique, it doesn't sound like Kpop songs anymore. It's more to those American songs, i'd say not bad at all. JYP is aiming for the American song industry. The quality of MV's are good as expected from most korean song MV.
JoKwon manage to sound like Shayne Ward. He always had a good voice but by improving his english, he sounds like Shayne ward when he sings. Haha~~
Anyway, do check out his album. It has come a long way from the boring ol kpop songs. The concept is fresh but i do think his image here suits more for G dragon of Big Bang. Well, I don't really mind. The songs are awesome. Try listening to Heaven, Just A Kiss, Who's Loving You Now - It's my favourites.

Special A Fanfiction: Part 2

She stood there in her crisp new white S.A uniform, the wind gently blowing around her silvery hair. She stared at the group of people looking at her, wearing the same uniform. She smiled encouragingly at them. Hikari took that as a cue and took a step forward, "Welcome to Hakusenkan, we're your new classmates, You can call me Hikari".
"And I'm Takishima Kei, I apologize that one of our comrade is missing. He seems to have something to do", he stepped in. She smiled, "It's okay, we'll meet eventually in class right? My name is Tsukino Ayano. Please call me Ayano". Later, the rest made their introduction.
"I've heard about all of you from Yahiro".
Akira seems to flinched at his name, "Oh really? What did he said about us?". Ayano smiled, "What he usually says, he also told me to take good care of Megumi-san but I guess I don't really have to since she looks pretty fine to me." Megumi blushed when Ayano winked at her.
"Alright, Ayano-chan, I believe you need to meet the director before going to class?" Hikari asked.
"Yes, that's right".
"Yosh! Let me lead the way," Hikari marched forward, leading the group through the throng of students.
After Tadashi's mother gave her a brief lecture on the rules and welcomed her to the school, they were ushered back to class with a notice to make Ayano feel at home.
She liked it here, the environment is nothing like Hakusen where a lot more snobby brats filled the hall, boasting their vacation in Europe and the latest fashion. Here there's no such pressure. She was glad she persuaded her parents to let her study here. The grassy path that lead to the greenhouse was perfectly trimmed and Ayano fell in love with the secluded 19th century style greenhouse surrounded by beautiful exotic flowers and the wide green field. She can already imagine her life here.
"And here is the greenhouse or our classroom," Hikari announced, pushing the door open.
Ayano gapped at the interior of the greenhouse and the sunshine emitting rays of light through the glass roof. She was amazed by the wonderful scent of roses and the sound of flowing water from the fountain nearby. the temperature felt nice on her skin after 2 years in Paris. "This is place is amazing!" she laughed, making her way towards the centre.

Ryuu was perched on one of the highest trees, watching the scene below diligently. He heard her laughter first and it caught his breath. Yes, how he missed this laugh. His eyes seeks her face. She has changed, he observed. Her hair is longer that before, she's taller and leaner. Her S.A uniform clad her body perfectly like it was meant for her. No, she hasn't change. Her eyes still twinkles and her infectious laughter still brought a smile to his lips. She still walked with poise and her steps as graceful as he remembered. Shutting his eyes, he let himself be basked in her presence.

Special A Fanfiction: Part 1 (Prologue)

They heard the news days ago from the director, another student will be joining S.A. Reluctant at first, it was Ryuu who convinced the others that it's fine. Hikari was excited about the arrival of another potential competitor. They heard she transferred from Paris, the daughter of a steel manufacturing tycoon. Today  she'll make her grand entrance in Hakusenkan.
"Shall we go welcome our new classmate? It's about time she arrives," Kei asked casually, rising from his seat. Hikari bounced up from her seat excitedly and pulled Akira along, "Of course! C'mon everybody". The rest followed behind them as they approach the door to the greenhouse.
"By the way, Tadashi, did your mother happen to mention her name?" Kei asked.
"Huh? I think so - " he replied between mouthful of fairy cakes. A kettle flew towards him and hit him in the forehead. "Swallow before you answer, Tadashi!" Akira scolded. A disoriented Tadashi picked himself up, rubbing his sore head. "Ok ok, hmm... i don't remember her first  name but her last name is Tsukino".
"Eh? Tsukino? As in Tsukino Steels?" Akira asked, eyes wide. Kei was taken aback, Tsukino group was on par with Takishima group. It's logic that they would send their own child to Kokusen Academy, founded by Masahito Tsukino himself. Why would they send their dear princess to Hakusen?
Ryuu's expression changed upon hearing the name, his eyes darted towards Tadashi in shock. With trembling fingers, he drew his per sloth closer. "Sorry guys, you go ahead and greet her. I've got something to do".
"What? Why?" Jun asked, concerned by Ryuu's sudden change of mind. Megumi, clearly thinking the same as her brother held up her sketchpad with the words "What's wrong?" written on it.
"Ah, it's nothing. This fella doesn't look good, " Ryuu pointed to the sloth. The other's stared at the animal. "He looks fine to me," Akira pointed out.
"No he dooesn't. Anyway, hurry up and go, you don't want our new classmate to get lost don't you? I'll be here if you need me". He turned away and walked back into the greenhouse. Six pairs of eyes watching at his departing figure.
"Well, can't force him if he has something to do right?" Hikari winked.
"Yes, let's go then, "Kei replied affectionately.

The white limo rolled up in front of the gates just in time when the S.A group arrived. Everyone stared curiously at the unfamiliar car while whispering to each other. The door opened slowly and a pair of long legs emerged.

Challenge accepted

Have you ever just look at a particular thing and just fall in love with it. No matter what people tell you or try to convince you about the bad side of the thing, you just stubbornly love it no matter what they say. I have experience this recently. I have fallen in love with Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S.
They say it's outdated, they say there's better model than Arc S such as Xperia S or whatever other model that comes after it. I don't care, I just love the thing. Love at first sight? Maybe, but it's probably the product placement factor. I mean, well, I've read reviews. Its a good phone with good function, of course i won't like one with bad reviews. Yes, of course it lacks some stuff compared to the newer models but well, it's decent.
My own family has been convincing me that I'll change my mind about Arc S, saying that i'll like the new phones with better function. Do people really have to buy the latest gadget? Is it to show off or what? Is there a reason to liking something? When you like a thing very much, it doesn't make much sense. Like how a girl falls for a boy that't obviously bad for her, or liqueur to an alcoholic- just an example of my point. Well, i've fallen for it way too much to change my mind. Outdated or not, I want it. So i can just say, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!

New advantage of heels

The "Crazy" invention
Of course heels are like an essential accessory in fashion and it just feels like you're not a woman if u don't have a pair of heels. And because of these perception, heels are very popular. I mean yeah, some of them are really pretty, i love pumps and wedges, oooh and boots and gladiator heels. I find wearing wedges the best, they're undeniably more stable because of their larger surface area. But there are also unbelievably high and impractical platform heels courtesy of Lady Gaga's style and other ludicrous inventions by weird designers. Well, the only reason they came up with it was only cuz someone is crazy enough to wear them. I do laugh at those people but at the same time salute their bravery for not being afraid to look ridiculous and not being afraid to fall flat on their faces and break a teeth or two or twist their ankles. If you want to die earlier, go ahead, wear like Lady Gaga. No one is stopping you.
I'm personally a sneakers, slippers and flats person. I love heels but i just can't stand or walk in them for more than a few hours. As pretty as they look, lets just face it, they're not the most comfortable thing to wear. And YET, they're not cheap! For a simple looking thing it already cost around 100bucks sometimes. Why pay to torture yourself? Seriously. But anyway, that's not the point of this post right?
Apart from the classic, looking good in heels and using it as an assault weapon to sexual harassing perverts, there is one more advantage of wearing heels. I knew it only today when i attended a talk, it sounds legit.
So, the speaker encourage woman to invest in at least a pair of heels. Why? Because wearing heels can not only make a woman look professional but it actually help you look confident. The logic in it? When you wear heels, it makes you straightened up. Your shoulders will automatically pull back and of course your chest will move forward so making you look confident. In a way it helps the posture. Does it sound logical enough? I think so.
Modest heels
But of course when you buy a heel you don't have to buy those very very high one's. You risk falling down and getting foot and tendons problem in the long run, don't believe me? Go google it! For beginners, wear moderate heels and practice before leaving the house, you don't wanna look like a chicken walking in heels. And make sure you find one pair with a larger heel that provides larger surface area for stability. For the love of God, don't wear kitten heels. The feet of the poor innocent person who you accidently puncture with your heels will be utterly painful. OUCH~~~
As long as you don't wear it the whole day and if possible, take it off when you're not walking (includes when you're at your work desk, car and other appropriate places, you'll be fine. Maybe only a little sore and peeling but other than that fine. I find pure comfort when i slip out of my heels and into my slippers after coming back from my campus (I only use heels during presentation).
That's all i can say about heels, hope it helps.

Hopeful songs

I don't believe that someone can go through life without a day of sadness or just plain bad day. Now, i will have bad days for most days in a week especially these few weeks where presentation and assignments are cramped into one deadline. Then everything seems to go wrong for me, I can hardly find space to breathe. Usually, people would think that Daniel Powter's Bad Day is the ideal song for my situation but i don't really think it is.
It's funny but sometimes its not necessary songs which has vocals in it. Be it instrumental or just the music, it gives me some hope that things wouldn't be like that forever and there's a glimmer of hope that I can get through things without bloodshed. Some anime songs for example, are simply without anyone singing yet the music can lift your soul. That's what it means to have hopeful songs.
Everybody has their own style of hopeful songs, some Christian songs, Anime OST, Korean Ballads etc. I'm fine with all types actually. But i do prefer Korean OST or Ballads, it's often soulful. It helps you know. I always feel a bit more encouraged or at least in a better mood after listening to some songs that i find hopeful.
Here's a list of songs i would listen to if i need some encouragement:
Hashimoto Yukari- Startup (Toradora)
Hey! Say! - bon bon.  (Lovely Complex)
Deok Hwan- I'm going to see you (Queen In Hyun's man)
Deborah Lurie- Dear John Theme (Dear John)
Alan Silvestri - Forrest Gump Theme (Forrest Gump)
Selah - Be thou near to me (Jim Brickman Album)
Saiunkoku Monogatari Album

You can check it out and see if it also gives you hope and encouragement at times. ;)

Short Story 1: Candy

She always had candies with her. Whenever she's with someone, she'll whip out her box of colourful Sticky candies and offer them. She's who everyone will turn to when they need to satisfy their sweet tooth. I never gotten the chance to talk to her. When she first came to my school, she's this bubbly ball of fun, wearing the most funky and colorful dress. It looks horrendous on others but it suits her personality well. Since the first day, finding friends never seems to be a problem to her since she quickly attracted many people's attention just by her looks alone. I seem to be in a total opposite world compared to her.
Today I saw her sitting alone by the benches listening to her ipod while chewing on jelly beans. Plucking up the courage i've been building up for months, i decided to take a shot and approach her. She looked up from her ipod, smiling at me and i felt my whole world coming to a stop.
"Hi, you're Randall right? I'm Candice". I nodded, surprised that she even knew my name. She held out a hand and i tentatively took it. The surge of electricity that shot through my arms the moment her skin touched mine was so addictive, like the candy that she always offers.
Like the idiot I was, all i did after shaking her hands was to sit next to her and kept quiet. We watched the field of students in front of us, soaking up the sun that so rarely surfaces. I heard the clanking of a hard object against metal and turned towards her. She held out a box of jelly beans, "Want one?". I took a few and popped them into my mouth, feeling the mixture of berries on my tongue.
"You always have candies around you. Do you love them?" I asked, curiously. She looks a bit shocked at my question but answered me.
"Not really".
"Then why?".
Her beautiful blue eyes met me and the sun choose that time to shine down on her, creating an illusion that made her eyes sparkle. She smiled sheepishly, "Can you keep this a secret?". I swallowed as she leaned in closer and winked, "To tell you the truth, it's my secret bait".
"A bait?"
"Yup, a bait for making friends like you. It's hard to fit in here so i thought, Who would reject a nice candy?"
I laughed, this is the girl that I thought had no problem making friends. We would get along well from now on, I just knew it. I hoped we would stay like this forever.

***My attempt to write a short story. Sorry it's doesn't really make any sense, I've been out of practice lately. But still, this just randomly came up in my mind so i wrote it***

Why be a vampire? Why not?

I used to be a Twilight fan (well, maybe i still am) Not really. I got over it already. Once i used to get annoyed by those snide remarks about the book and movie, now I'm not bothered so i guess i'm over that phase now. Don't get me wrong, i'm never a fanatic fan of the actors and actresses or the character. I was a huge fan of Stephenie Meyers for her writing. The storyline is original i guess and the sparkly part might be a bit overboard but the others are fine.
Now, what I find interesting is how these vampire novel's authors can come up with the idea's of making the vampires so perfect -white teeth, swift, beautiful/graceful and even sparkly. They make it sounds like being a vampire has it's blessing and curses at the same time. It's intriguing for me in fact.
Alrighty, why being a vampire is a good thing? I'll based it on what was written in novels. You get:
  1. The beauty: Remember how EVERY author seems to say that vampires are beautiful creatures that always manage to mesmerise their victims with just a smile (a perfect smile to be exact). Human's are always vain creatures so of course you want to be beautiful and have people admiring you. I'm not saying all people are like that but i think most people are. Smooth & porcelain white skin, the perfect proportioned body, long lean legs and arms - it's every girl's dream. And perfect muscles & great abs for the guys. Don't have to worry about getting fat, now that is just paradise. Now who wouldn't want to be perfect?
  2. The speed: I do admire people who are so swift at doing things. I mean who wouldn't? It's a plus point that you won't get tired even after doing work that are meant for 100 men. I can think of plenty of things i can go with the speed, travelling back and forth from class for one (and i save cost ;) ), doing assignments and other boring stuff that can be done in a short time, i can even skitter in and out of my lecture hall without being noticed, pick up stuff i drop before it hits the ground and bla bla bla (the list can go on and on).
  3. The abilities: This is rather subjective, depending on which you read. Some don't have abilities, some do. But of course it'll be great if they really have abilities. Just think of what being able to see the future alone can do, i'll can avoid doing things that i regret. Mind reading is fine, controlling elements (it's a bit too uh.. fantasy, not rlly possible)? but you get it, having the abilities is great.
  4. The wealth: You have forever to live and while you do that, you accumulate money since you don't sleep too. When you have money, you can have everything you fancy (lets just face it, money can buy almost everything-almost) I can think of plenty of things to do with centuries of wealth - private island in Bora bora, castle in scotland, villa in tuscany equipped with home theatre, pool, game room, jacuzzi, spa....... and a vineyard (since vampires are known to be huge fan of wines), Like this i won't even mind not being able to see the sun. Then there's the fast & cool cars, shopping in Milan etc.
  5. The senses: Being human and having human senses pretty much sucks compared to vampire senses. Sight for one is enviable (I would love to trade in my glasses for a pair of vampire eyes), smell is fine, improved hearing is a blessing, the others i guess it's okay.
There's still other advantages of course like staying young forever but the five main points that I've mentioned is what i admire the most about being a vampire. Well, there are also things i don't admire them for, in fact i pity vampires for having them such as having blood diets. There's so many scrumptious delicacies in the whole wide world, why limit yourself to blood? Isn't it gross? The smell of iron i mean. Second, although you get to stay young forever i don't find it good. I don't want to stay forever on this planet and see people destruct themselves. I mentioned before, I would rather be dead when the world ends. And lets face it, vampires are monstrous creatures, i don't want to be chased and killed in a excruciatingly painful way (i rather die in my sleep). Talking about sleep, that's another thing i don't envy. I LOVE sleep so to not being able to sleep is hell. And since we're on the topic of vampires, let's talk about their arch enemy -Werewolves. Now i don't see any reason why being a werewolf is good, they don't have as much advantages as a vampire and what they have, the vampires has them too. Why walk on 4 when you can walk on 2? No, i don't see any good in being one. So far from most fantasy author's point of view, the world consist of just 3 creatures - human, werewolves and vampire. I've read books which mention fairies, witches and stuff. Being a human with a witches ability is great too (Except the witch hunt) and being a fairy is just plain cute, but no thanks to all of itSo my conclusion is, yeah I'm happy being a mere puny human with no abilities and talents.
I guess that's just about what i can say about the good and the bad of Vampirism. It's not like i really believe that there's such creature but with so many stories like Twilight, Vampire diaries, True Blood, Fifty shades of grey and others, you can't help but get caught up wondering if they do exist.

Time Travelling drama

Time travelling films used to be pretty unique and interesting for viewers. I remember "Back to the future" was one of those classic time travelling movies that is still garners attention. So much attention that the korean film industry also started making films like that. I don't remember the first Korean time travelling film.
I seriously don't mind Queen In Hyun's man cuz it's just such a great drama, they did well with the organization of the time travelling medium and stuff. Plus the drama is just perfect! I love it.
Rooftop prince was one of those successful time travelling genre films so okay. But what's not okay is the why more and more of the likes of it are popping up like wild mushrooms in my backyard. I'll give you few new one's : Time Slip Dr Jin, Faith including Rooftop prince and Queen In hyun's man, oh and Operation Proposal . These are just the recent one's.
I mean yeah, of course, its still interesting now cuz it's new and they use hot actor and actress. But in time, it'll eventually get old. I mean even i get kinda bored already. While the storyline always manages to mystify the viewers, the story is always still the same. Travelling back and forth and there's romance then there's always one ending either good or bad. The good, the protagonists will be together OR not.
Yeah, that's just my opinion on the recent film "trends". There's no harm or course, it's just me, easily getting bored. Enjoy the drama anyway!
