Safe and sound. Who does it better?

I recently heard this amazing song. Originally sang by Taylor Swift for the Hunger Games ost. I must say, i love this song sang by Julia sheer better. her voice is strong enough and without sounding like she had something stuck in her throat. I'm not saying Taylor has something in her throat. It's just that, Taylor's voice doesn't sound that suitable for this song, it's a bit shaky and she gave me the impression that she is trying to whisper but whispering too loud. Julia has the right balance so i listen to her version more than Taylor's.
Check it out and see the difference!

The notoriously shy Virgo

If there's probably one thing that i can blame myself for, that'll be being so awfully coward in love. It's hard to admit this but it's true. I've been single all my live. I never dated, i never do anything connected to dating maybe i don't even know what's dating. I'm reaching my 20 years mark this year and it really sucks. While all teens get the chance at experiencing their first love or boyfriend, i've to be the one sulking and dreading the forever alone state i seems to be in. I never receive flowers, chocolate, presents from guys, i never get confessions, In fact i might just think that no one will EVER like me. I guess it's also me, i'm a little conservative and too cautious. My friends joked that i have this huge barrier like a filter that filters out men i think are not worth my time.
Although i say that, i'm partly to be blamed too. I never wanted to take the first step to confess my feelings nor do i have the guts to do it, maybe its cuz i'm afraid to be rejected. As they say, Virgo's are famous for being shy and i'm not denying it. I have a few Virgo's to prove it too.
Yesterday I saw this very cute guy sitting opposite me in the library and once again, I let that chance slip through my fingers cuz i just can't bring myself to do that. My esteem is on the line and i really don't wanna hurt it. So that's why i've been single since for as long as i can remember, which is almost reaching 8 years mind you(of course for the first 12 years of my life i didn't care about being alone) I don't really get any say about liking to be single, i was forced into it. Me and my non existent love life. And now i'm worried i'll turn into an old dame while EVERYONE around me seems to be having a life and i don't.
So don't blame me when i get really emo and grumpy when i see couples saying lovey dovey things on their facebook wall. If they want to do the pda through facebook, why don't use chat instead of posting it as a status. It's taking a toll on all single people's esteem. Sheesh!!

Morning hours

Do you always hit the snooze button after the real alarm clock went off? Now i know a lot of you do this, don't even try to deny it! :D
So today I was woken up by my alarm clock an hour before class, after hitting the snooze button i went back to sleep. The second time it went off i closed it. Lying in bed, i let my eyes close and without knowing it, I drifted back to sleep for another 10 minutes.
Then when i finally wake up 40 minutes before class, i kept finding for excuse NOT to leave the bed (e.g: the sun is too bright and hot, there's not much to learn in class anyway. bla bla bla)
Then i realized, i can't find any reason! In the end, I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for class.
It's almost a ritual now every morning and I always end up going to class in the end. :p

Anime

What do people think when they hear anime? What are they're schema of anime? While i have read quite a lot of manga's and anime (comics and cartoons to you) myself, my thinking are still no different from what other normal people.
I've seen way too many artist drawing the same kind of style when it comes to drawing girls and boys. So when you say boys, I'll think - broad shoulder, smart, utterly handsome, tall, long arms and legs, smart, muscular, from a good family and good at EVERYTHING!
Say girls and i'll think - petite, cute, pretty, big eyes, stupid or confuse in many ways, sexy with boobs, skinny( and they're always pretty while fat girls have small eyes), shy and don't dare to confess their inner feelings.
And i'm usually right.
This is bad, the japanese anime culture is putting way too much fantasy stereotype into our brains. They make it way too epic, altho i'm not complaining when this happens in a few anime. I'm quite picky mind you, my favourite will be Kaichou Wa Maid Sama. Tho the heroine inside isn't stupid and not shy, the rest definitely hit the spot. Then the hero is everything i said above. Now that anime is one that i don't mind but the rest yes.
I'm not saying ALL the manga artist are the same. I've seen special one's where the people are all but nothing like what i say. It's not bad just that they're putting false hope in people like me that maybe there's someone like them in this world ( the guys) i mean.

Little Birds

I've come across a very interesting scene one day when i was waiting for the bus to go to my campus.
This little bird flew down from a tree and landed not few feet away on a patch of grass, after rummaging through the long grass, it broke a blade of grass with it's beak and flew back to the three with the long grass in its mouth. I stared at what it was doing for sometime and saw that it was actually making a nest!
After it was done arranging the grass, it flew back to the exact same spot, pluck another grass and fly back to the nest. It continued to do that while i looked on, fascinated.

It got me thinking how our parents might be in the same position, going back to their shitty workplace everyday just to earn some money to buy us a house (in the case of this birds, the grass was their material to build the house for their young), then raise us and see us grow up into individuals that they can be proud of.
I'm trying to be that individual now, to let them see their effort was paid off and one day maybe i can be that little bird myself! (of course minus the shitty workplace)

The bus came and i went on my way, letting the little bird continue their work. I never went back to see what happen but we can all guess what happened. ;)

Dana Knightstone games

I've already introduced you to one of my favourite games that is the Dark Parables games. Now I'm going to talk about another of my favourites, probably the one i like the most. Yes, i HIGHLY recommend too (especially for the hopelessly romantic people)
The scene mostly happens in Italy( and if you read my profile, you'll know i absolutely adore Italy), but that's just partially why i love the game. As you can read the title it always starts with Death so i'll make it more simple, it involves 2 dead characters. You'll be interacting with ghost of the hero and heroin.
The story itself is tragically romantic and i really love it. It's a tale of true eternal love(literally). A bit of a classic Romeo and Juliet story.
The setting is quite old, maybe during the 18th century( i can't be sure) and it always starts with the parents forbidding their love and the death of one of the characters then the other will be heartbroken and dies from sadness too. You'll embark on a journey to help them find each other again, explore beautiful scenes from Italy, France and England. I said it once and I'll say it again, I LOVE this game. >XD
A 5/5 star ranking if you ask me~~

Edward Cullen: Now and Then

Edward Cullen (Twilight)       Robert Pattinson Edward Cullen Eclipse
Edward Cullen in Twilight                                           Edward Cullen in Eclipse

Now can anybody tell me the difference between this two pictures? Other than it's still Robert Pattinson and he's weaaring different clothes and the background is different too?

Between the 4 movies that they have relased since 2008, i really love watching the first series, in fact i can still watch it over and over again. Why? Because the portrayal of Edward Cullen in the first movie is really similar to the book. In Twilight, they really manage to make Rob Patz into the perfect Edward Cullen - Nice skin, incredibly breathtaking smile and the perfect features of vampires as mentioned in the book. I guess it's probably the lighting and more make up but I really appreciate that effort to transform the normal Rob Patz into this perfect vampire. Even the things they do are much graceful in Twilight.

But i really started noticing changes in his character in Eclipse(the 3rd instalment). Because his character didn't appear much in New Moon (2nd instalment) i didn't notice much. The ending of New Moon did show him looking like crap from depriving himself from blood and the suicide thoughts.
Now, in Eclipse when they first show him (when he's walking towards Bella from his car) what i really saw wasn't Edward Cullen. I saw Robert Pattinson, not the dreamy unrealistic vampire (& they didn't cake him enough to make him really pale) It was such a disappointment while i hear girls in the cinema sighing and cooed at his image. I'm appalled. Maybe the fans just like him because he's well, him. But i'm more the type that appreciates it when the actor/ actress can really portray the characters from books very well. I dreaded the Breaking Dawn I because he looks just the same, R Patz not Ed Cullen. Okay maybe it wasn't that bad in Breaking Dawn but he's suppose to look dazzling as the groom and i don't see that. I lost interest the in 3rd movie but LOVE the fight scene. I'm more team Alice. But i still watch all of them movie because i've been a fan of the book.

Since they racked up enough money to make them billionaires overnight, why can't they just spend the extra money to coat them even more in make up? Doesn't even cost them that much. Make up can do wonders to cover up those flaws and i see many in R Patz. <cringe>

P.s No offence to the team Rob Patz people.

Novel mania

Why am I such a HUGE fan of novels? I've been asking myself that same question every time. A trip to the book store means that I'll always return home with a book and a satisfied grin. In fact it's been taking a toll on my budget. My shelves are full of novels that i've bought. My mom keeps complaining about the unnecessary money spend on buying fictional books until she put a restriction on me when going to the book store. But i just didn't listen and that was when i was still in high school. Now I'm in college all alone without supervision, you can imagine what I'm doing now.
I guess it all started in my teenage years, I've been reading English novels for all my life and being an English teacher's daughter means well, i must score well in the subject and i did, throughout my life (I'm not saying i'm totally perfect in English, i still sucks in grammar).
I forgot when was my first english novel but i read plenty of novels before that and my imagination kinda blossomed from the constant reading. You can actually learn a lot from novels. And you further improve from reading lots of novels. Don't ever be afraid of letting your child read too much "junk" novels, it's not! and don't think the "electronic nanny"(TV) is bad for them either. They can really learn english from both of these considered bad, source. I did learn my English that way. From TV, I learned how to pronounce correctly, from novels, i get my imagination and vocabulary. Now that's not the point.
But i discovered my love and passion for english language a little later in life, before that it's just an obligation to satisfy my mom. It all happened when Twilight saga became so famous that i guess being a novel freak i just have to try reading what's so interesting about this book that made all girls go berserk.
The storyline was interesting but that's not the thing that caught my real interest. The language that Stephenie Meyer used inside was absolutely beautiful. That was the first time i felt that English was so beautiful. Her vocab was real good and i saw the beauty of each word. I fell in love with her writing style. Later on my friend(who was even better in English) told me that her writing actually sucks. I got a little defensive cuz it's my favourite author she's mocking. But it never stopped me, in fact Steph Meyer INSPIRED me to write and i did, writing short stories about things that suddenly gave me inspiration to write. Over the next few years, i read various novels from different famous author such as Meg Cabot, Nicholas Sparks, Cecelia Ahern etc. I studied their writing skills and mix them up together then one particular brainstorm hit me and started writing my own novel in 2010, the idea just kept pouring in and I finished writing my first novel entitled "Brighter Days" by the middle of 2011. Although i've not shown much people my work (only few close friends), it felt really good.
I've develop a fondness of reading books published by Little Black Dress now, from there i can read from all sorts of random authors and learn from them.
I've recently started on my second novel "Leap Of Faith" and its still in the process. Before that i didn't put much research in writing Brighter Days but in this second novel, it's a much different level than my first and i put in extra effort and research to write it. So hopefully one day i'll get the guts to actually publish these novels. I'm still passionate when it comes to English language although I'm not taking  English literature in college( oh surprise surprise!)
Don't get me wrong, i LOVE them to bits but i just don't want to make it a lifetime career. Writing is my favourite thing to do and i like to make it a part time job.

Dark parables games

Game review time!! I HIGHLY recommend the games from dark parables. I love it. Apart from the twisted fairytale story, the scene's inside is really beautiful and you'll never find a more wonderfully carved equipments in any games. :D
Curse of Briar Rose is actually just sleeping beauty. But we don't get the classic fairytale ending. Rose didn't wake up after the kiss and continued to sleep on. The prince who kissed her dies after waiting for so long. And the game is practically to wake her up from the slumber. The ending leads to the sequel of Exiled prince.
I guess i love Exiled prince the most. It's about -wait for it- the frog prince. He's been cursed to be a frog and live for eternity. After the death of his one true love Princess Ivy(i'm not so sure if there's any fairytale story with a princess Ivy in it), he kinda went around and married Ariel(the little mermaid), Odette(the swan princess), snow white and cinderella. I know it sounds absurd but the story is actually quite touching. It ended with the sequel to the rise of the snow queen, after snow white became the evil snow queen( that i'll let you play the game to know why).
In Rise of the Snow queen you'll have to save children from the snow queen( cuz she abducted them in hope to find the Golden child). Then you have to try to stop her from destroying the world (she's being manipulated by the evil mirror- the opposite of the mirror of truth in snow white). The ending of this game shows that there's another sequel to another game which i'm SOOO excited to play.
5/5 star ranking~

movie of the month

OOOHHH~~~ i really LOVE the phoenix so i can't resist to just post this picture. Can't wait to watch this movie!!!

Beautiful creature books review

Beautiful creatures books by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I would say it's not the best book that I've read but it's still readable. I must say, i couldn't actually grasp what the second book is actually talking about. The first book was fine but i must say the third book has improved a lot. I wouldn't recommend buying the first and second book, but without those 2, you would be clueless when it comes to the third book.It revolves around (oh the cliche) a boy and a girl and her extended family. Lena Duchannes is a caster(magical being with huge powers) who went to school and met Ethan Wate who is a normal human. It was later revealed that Ethan is a wayward (someone who guides the path of casters). They had a connection before they met, in a dream, then they fell in love. The whole series is talking about how Lena has to fight to choose to be light caster(good) and battle her manipulative evil mother. If she chooses light, Ethan will have to die but if she chooses dark she'll grow so evil she'll eventually forget Ethan. So at the end she choose to be both light and dark, so she can be with Ethan. (Oh the joy) Then she destroyed the order of the world that caused chaos and she and Ethan has to restore it. The ending of the third book (SPOILER ALERT) shows Ethan jumping down from a water tower to restore the new order. I don't really particularly like how the story revolves but the storyline is quite interesting. I did bought three of the books and i would still buy the fourth book.

Adam couple forever!!

The time when they're representing korea as the best couple in the international tourism parade in Hong Kong.
Their their new year "han bok"
Trying on their photoshoot wedding dress.

In hong kong for the international tourism parade. Outside one of the famous egg tart shop.

I'm a huge fan of ga in and jo kwon after watching them on "we got married". If you don't know what's that, lemme tell you.
"We got married" is a reality show from Korea that features 2 celebrity getting virtually "married" and during those time, you'll see how they progress as couples and grow to like each other like a real husband and wife.
When i saw jo kwon and ga in i was thinking, they're SO incompatible. But that's their attraction, she's older than him and he's acting like the young wannabe husband which she refuses to let him be. But as the show goes on, they start doing cute things for each other and it's really sweet. This couple is the best for me, they're cute, hilarious and a good team.
The last airing of the show had me crying buckets cuz it's just so sad to see them go. But well, they'll still be the best virtual couple to me. ;)

check out their wedding picture: :D

Trying to be sexy but failed~~ lol
 Gosh, LOVE the dress~~ <3 <3
Looks like a scene from Mr and Mrs Smith. pfft~~

Block B controversy

The recent controversy on Block B inconsiderate and childish actions during the Thailand interview. Now I have to admit altho subscribed to Soompi forums, I didn't know about the news till few days ago. Now i was thinking what the uproar is about and was thinking big deal they misbehave. Their fame went to their heads. Then i went to view the video myself.

I must say that really was really kinda appalled at what they did. It's extremely immature and uncool. It's one thing that they say they act like the don't know about the flood, it's another thing to say they only contribute was it 700 won (USD$6) to help out. By saying that equals to not helping at all. Now if they said that about my country, I'll be mad as hell too. But then again, why get worked up by a bunch of blabbering idiots who don't know what they're doing.

I get it, being a celebrity means everyone is tailing after everything you do and what you say. So if they're being smart they would know how to act more maturely and professional in this industry. (Of course i do think they're still kids) Don't need to get cocky about being famous.

Then i followed after their news about how they resolve this problem. So they released a apology video (probably forced by their company boss to hopefully do some damage control) and i guess they should know what they did wrong by now if they really call themselves celebrities. Then there comes news that ridiculous netizens are voting for them to commit suicide. Now this is the MOST absurd thing I've ever heard! Until one of the members went into shock and was admitted to the hospital (i do think its a bit too dramatic) I'd say their pretty pathetic now. If they're your idol and you decide you'll hate them forever and swore vengeance then just ignore them! Then they don't get any fans, then they can't sell an album, then they'll go bankrupt. You'll destroy them too, in an easier way. Think far people.

Sure they make mistakes, they not perfect. And i bet they already learn a thing or two after this case. They already scored a ticket down loser land now, i bet after this they're reputation would be scarred quite badly. But telling them to commit suicide, these people are not far from being an irrational murderer themselves.
Put this in a different situation, what if they're just mere normal puny citizens making this kinda comment? Surely people will just shrug it off and ignore these bastards but things are different when you're a celeb as i mentioned. Netizens are just finding someone to let out those steamed up fury.

So i just wanna say, give them a break people! They got what they deserve and if they're really smart, they wont do it again so save the suicide thoughts. I gotta say, i'm not their fan at all but i do listen to their songs. Maybe i'm a bit biased but try to think this through too, be rational.

Newbie on the block

As this is my first time making a blog, I'm so confused and lost about everything I'm doing. Give me sometime and hopefully I'll be able to get out of this hell of a maze! :)
