Hmm.... i don't usually watch j-drama. I normally watch K-drama but recently i took up watching j-drama for change. K-drama is starting to feel a bit cliche. The first thing i notice about the series created by two cultures are the film score. I found the background music of J-drama much more skillfully placed.
Somehow k-drama is trying too hard by putting emphasis on the person singing the film score or increasing the volume of the film score unnecessarily. In J-drama, they know how to harmonize the film score according to the suitability. Maybe it's only for the recent J-drama that I've been watching. But really, this is what i realized.
And the film score is soothing somehow. It gives me a much more different feeling. Like I feel anxious when i need to be and sad at the suitable times. The guitar players for the j-drama film score is really good. Makes me wanna learn guitars. Haha....
Not that i'm saying k-drama are completely bad. I'm just taking a break from k-drama. J-drama is rather refreshing. Plus, i get to brush up on my japanese. I've getting rusty after a few semesters of not practicing.
