Being a student

How are you as a student? I think mostly there are few category of being student. I forgot where i recalled seeing this meme about category of students, but anyway here's what i can think of.

First- the party hard, have great social life but fail miserably in exams students
Now these people i see quite a lot on campus. They are super active in sports, club, events, campaign you name it. They are also very friendly, talkative and sociable people who can talk to anyone with ease. Not to mention they never turn down an offer for dinner or supper at odd hours. Party? Meh~ they're the number one at it. So when it comes to studying? Well~~ i'll tell you this. They will always look tired during the day and would constantly be saying they wanna sleep. In class, they are sleeping, the only time when they stay awake is when the lecturer starts asking for answers to their question. Social life is their priority and when exams is near, then they'll crank till morning to study. As a result, most of them get average or bad grades (never good from what i see). They will skip class whenever they can and usually ends up in the "barred" list.  Oh, and they're always the popular ones.

Second- the study hard, bad social life and excel in studies students
Oh dear~~ i don't see much of these student around but there still is. These are the students that will really study everyday, shy away from dinner invitations and cooped up in their room with their head stuck in front of a book. In class they really listen and answer what the lecturer ask even when they don't need to. In a way, they're the smarty pants (usually the nerds too). They are very bad with people which means they feel awkward around people and sometimes they'll even do weird things (like mumble to themselves) They don't enjoy gatherings, activities and parties. You usually find them at the corner of the party looking around bewildered like a lost mouse. But they usually scored very well in exams, mostly they even have scholarships. These so called "nerds" will have vast knowledge but they are not street smart. Attendance? Full all year round~ squeaky clean near perfect record.

Third- the half study and half play type who have average scores and normal social life.
We call them the normal students. Enjoy outings as much as any other normal college student does but they also know they're priority which is studying and get a degree. Some are over ambitious but it's cool.  They're
no smarty pants nor miss/mister popular. Like most of the students, they're lazy to study everyday and rejoice when class are cancelled. These people love hanging out with good friends than course mates. They sometimes skip class and then feel damn guilty about it then do last minute studying before midterms. In class, they pretend to listen but is actually already falling asleep or with a book hidden beneath their notes. When the lecturer ask for answers they'll look away and avoid any possible eye contact that will give them away. When test results are being released, it felt like receiving a time bomb instead of a lousy sheet of paper.

Just for your info, i'm the third category student. Well, you can't just spend your whole college life with books and assignment. It's a time to mingle and get to know how the real world looks like. Gain some experience, enjoy before work gives you hell. :)
